Donovan Lee Shyun Lee
Donovan Lee Shyun Hyn is a lawyer focusing in the areas of Education, Fitness, Information Technology, Intellectual Property and Sports laws.
Donovan graduated from the University of Malaya with a LL.B (Hons) in 2011. He was admitted and enrolled as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur on 1st October 2012.
Prior to joining Foong Cheng Leong & Co. as the firm's first Legal Associate in March 2016, Donovan completed his pupillage at ZICOlaw Malaysia in August 2012 and subsequently commenced his legal practice at the Taxation and Private Clients practice group of Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill. He then practised at Arianti Dipendra Jeremiah in the areas of conveyancing and corporate. He ceased practice at the end of August 2013 to pursue his late found passion in fitness.
Donovan first became a legal recruitment consultant with eLawyer, which was when he started teaching RPM, an indoor group cycling exercise programme on a part-time basis. He entered the fitness industry full-time several months later when the opportunity arose where he worked at Fitness First Malaysia as an elite personal trainer, group exercise instructor & membership consultant and thereafter as an education executive and fitness tutor at Fitness Innovations Malaysia (FITM).
With Donovan's first-hand experience of working in various departments of the world’s largest fitness centre chain and the biggest fitness education centre chain in Asia, he knows precisely how commercial fitness centres and education centres are set up and run successfully. He is able to leverage on these experiences to support and empower both the fitness and education industry professionals in fulfilling their duty of care toward their clients by following professional standards and guidelines.
